12 May 2024 Meetings with the Minister and Deputy Minister of Health

On Thursday, May 9, the Minister of Health of Liberia, Dr. Louise M. Kpoto, and the Director of its Mental Health Unit, Dr. Moses Ziah II, among other officials of the Ministry of Health, received a delegation from the Benedict Menni Center, formed by the Coordinator of its Mental Health Unit, Ato Kwamena, the Director of Programs, Mikel Tellaeche, and the Care Director of the Aita Menni Hospital, José Luis Girón.

At the meeting, both delegations were able to share information on various aspects related to mental and neurological health and substance abuse prevention and treatment programs in the country, in which our center has been actively participating and collaborating with the Ministry for a decade, something which the Minister highlighted and thanked during the meeting.

A few days before, the Deputy Minister of Health, Dr. Cuellau Jabbeh Howe, had been received at the Benedict Menni Center and knew directly about the work we do in the Mental Health Unit through the We Are Like You initiative.
