30 May 2023 Celebrating Saint Benedict Menni´s Day

In commemoration of his legacy, charity works, leadership skills, compassion for the affected which drove in restoring the order of this Congregation. On April 24, the day where our Founding father died in Dinan, France, we remember his works and the identity he instilled in us. During this period, Management of St. Benedict Menni Health Centre which comprises of two facilities, the clinic and the Mental Health Unit, organized a week celebration with respective activities to mark it.

We visited the Monrovia Central Prison, where we interacted with some inmates who one way or the day suffers a form of mental ailment. We provided some counseling, spiritual fulfilment, words of encouragement and a behavior modification talk to uplift them during this difficult time.

A documentary filmed by the Aita Menni Hospital in Mondragon which features the St. Benedict Menni Health centre in Monrovia, Liberia was premiered. As part of the celebration, a heartwarming, eventful and well-directed documentary was presented to Sisters, Co-workers, Beneficiaries and Patients at the centre. A portrayal of the professionalism, hospitality and humanizing care was evident in this fifty-four-minute film.

In addition, a quiz competition organized between staff and inmates was excitingly carried out including sporting events, workshop on the Institutions Identity and Values.
