26 Dec 2023 Our condolences to The Carter Center on the passing of its founder, Rosalynn Carter
Rosalynn Carter, former First Lady of the United States during Jimmy Carter’s term of office, passed away in the United States on November 19th.
Rosalynn Carter and her husband were the founders of The Carter Center, an international non-profit NGO that works in the field of mental health in Liberia and other countries and with which our Monrovia Mental Health unit collaborates closely.
Widely recognized as a leading advocate for mental health and caregiving, former First Lady Rosalynn Carter was active in building a more caring society.
A representation from our center, led by Sister Winnie Guyao, came to The Carter Center’s Monrovia facility to share our farewell and commiseration to Rosalynn Carter, her family and friends.
May her gentle soul rest in perfect peace.
