Future nurses and midwives studying at the Tubman National Institute of Medical Arts will carry out internships at the Benedict Menni Monrovia Health and Mental Health Centers, thanks to an agreement signed on April 4.
The Tubman National Institute Of Medical Arts, an Institution established in in 1945 throught the effort and cooperation of the Liberian National Public Health service, currently, Ministry of Health and Social Welfare and the United States mission. It has four training programs in Nursing, Maternity, Environmental Health and Physician Assistant, and has trained thousands of health professionals for the country’s Health System.
They inquired on the possibility of using our facilities for clinical purposes. Program coordinator Kelbriline Quaye-Saamoi visited the centre and interacted with our coordinator, Ato Kwamena Sagoe. After several discussions, the agreement to have student nurses and midwives practice at our facility was established.
On Tuesday, April 4, 2023 the Memorandum of Understanding was signed to formally meet the agreement as both Institutions agreed to terms and conditions.
We look forward to welcome these students warmly to the centre and assist them go through their practicals with its outmost professionalism.
